Barbialla Nuova is located in the center of Tuscany and is therefore easily reached from all the main motorways of the region. We highly recommend using Google maps instead of car GPS as it may take you down small, bumpy dirt roads and significantly prolong your trip. These are the directions from the main cities:
FROM FLORENCE AIRPORT: 55 km. 1 hour drive. Follow the signs for the "superstrada" Firenze-Pisa-Livorno FI-PI-LI, direction Pisa. Exit in San Miniato. Follow the highway ramp to the right, then turn right toward San Miniato. At the roundabout take the second exit toward Pontedera. Take the next right, direction Pontedera and then, in approx 900 m, turn left for San Miniato. This road will take you to the upper village of San Miniato. Before entering the old part of the village, you will find the sign to Montaione, directing you to turn right.
Now you have to drive for a bit more than 10 km, crossing two valleys. At each of the two junctions you encounter you will turn left following signs for Montaione. Drive through the village of Corazzano and keep going until you find the white KM 6 sign, which is about 3.2 km past the village. The dirt road on your right is the entrance to our farm.
Drive on this dirt road for one kilometer. Reception is located in the first farm buildings that you come across upon entering the gate. Download the map.
FROM PISA AIRPORT: 50 km. 1 hour drive - Follow the signs for the "superstrada" Firenze-Pisa-Livorno FI-PI-LI, direction Firenze. Exit: San Miniato. FROM SIENA: 65 km. 1,15 hour drive- Take the "superstrada" Firenze Siena the FI-SI and exit at Poggibonsi Nord. Keep going straight for 5 roundabouts (you should be on the SP1 – Strada Provinciale One). When you get to the end of that road, take a left towards Gambassi Terme and then from Gambassi follow signs for Montaione. Once in Montaione you will arrive at a stop sign at the top of a hill where you can only turn left (to go back the same direction you came) or right. Turn right and follow the road around the corner, going straight downhill when you can. You will now pass the shopping area with a PAM supermarket and the town of Le Mura. When you arrive at the very bottom of the hill you cross a small bridge and reach a dead-end. Turn right towards San Miniato. You are now on the road to Barbialla Nuova. At the white KM 6 sign, there will be a dirt road on your left, which is the entrance to the farm. Drive on this dirt road for one kilometer.
