Built on the side of a hillock with spectacular 360 degree views, Le Trosce is the only house at Barbialla Nuovo which was not extensively remodeled (except for the modern bathrooms), thus preserving its authentic charm and the unique architecture of this traditional Tuscan farmhouse. With its nineteenth-century cotto floors, beamed ceilings and huge fireplaces, it is our most traditional accommodation. The pergola and the small dipping pool are the perfect place for a glass of wine at sunset. The house can be reached by following a 0.5 km dirt road from the Reception.
The farmhouse has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a spacious living room with fireplace, private garden, pergola and dipping pool (2x3m). The house is connected to the internet through Wi-Fi. Our guests can enjoy 18 km of signed walking trails, fish at a small lake where they can catch carp and black bass, and visit the chianina cows, pigs and chickens throughout the farm. We offer our guests a stay in authentic and alive nature: this also means wild life and insects. We had fun writing a page about the adventures that our guests can face while staying with us.
